EPISODE INFORMATION
Chaos;Head had potential, potential to be one of the best psychological anime ever made. But with its lackluster and convoluted storytelling (especially with the introduction of the Nozomi Corporation) Chaos;Head trips and falls flat on its face harder than the clumsy chick in a cliche' harem anime. Maybe an expert from one of the top psychology schools should have been on the creative team.

Aside from bad storytelling, the main character is interesting, yet horribly unlikeable. And the girls are put there as being attractive "placeholders" for character slots. Six girls, and only two to three with suitable backstory? C'mon man.

So what you're left with is a twelve episode series that brings together a convoluted plot, which to be able to manage to make sense of it, (you have to constantly be able to discern between what's real and what's not) gets interesting too little too late. You also get characters you don't really care about, and an actually good story element until a massive wrench is thrown in that makes everything become standard fare.

Do yourself a favor: Skip this one, buy Paranoia Agent. It may cost a little bit more, but it's the best in it's genre.
