EPISODE INFORMATION
Megacon! The lone shining symbol of hope that appears once a year in Feburary or March, and takes us from our humdrum lives of work and school, into a three day, adreninline fueled, cosplay photo taking, anime grabbing frenzy that's great when it starts out, but like any high; sucks really bad when it wears off.
The OVA's story is as good as the anime itself is beautiful. Kinema Citrus did an excellent job with the animation. Whether it be in the fluidity of the fight scenes, or the details in the emotion shown on the characters faces, the artwork found in Quantum is one of sheer excellence and beauty and is worth the price of the show alone.
This years Megacon paled in camparison to lasts years. But thats not to say it was bad. It was much more organized than last year, and that helped out a lot. Given the choice, we'd take this layout over last years in a heartbeat. But the lack of good cosplay, the terrible game room with it's terrible PS3 boner and 3rd party controllers, AND THE COMPLETE LACK OF AMV HELLS made this convention not as epic as last years.
We had loads of fun, picked up lots of new anime, and met new people. So if you live on the southeast side of the U.S. make sure to take a trip to Megacon once a year. There lots of fun to be had, and cool people to meet. Just be careful about those hotels "whispers" They charge double tax.......
