[A3K Newz] New FUNimation Titles Announced!

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail
Inuyasha: The Final Act Dub Confirmed If you're like me, then you've been putting off watching Inuyasha: The Final Act until its dubbed and airing on Adult Swim. While I'm still waiting with bated breath for that Cartoon Network announcement, I can rest easy knowing that at least one of my wishes has been granted. Kelly Sheridan, the voice actress who plays Sango, recently posted on her Facebook and Twitter accounts that she began recording this past Tuesday. I usually find it annoying when reporters use social networking sites as a source, but let's be honest with ourselves--this is not real journalism.

This is a time to rejoice, Inuyasha dub fans. We're going to get to hear Richard Cox scream Kagome's name once more. That is, assuming Viz doesn't lay off the rest of their company before the DVD is released.

Funimation Announces New Anime Titles
Funimation had a slew of exciting announcements for the attendees of Anime Central this Saturday. Along with a handful of new anime licenses, they also announced the dub cast for Casshern Sins and Eden of the East.

The new anime titles announced were Rosario + Vampire, Rosario + Vampire Capu2, Chaos: HEAd, Chrome Shelled Regios, Rideback, Sora no Otoshimono, and GUNxSWORD. With the exception of GUNxSWORD and Chrome Shelled Regios, all the titles will be released in 2011. GUNxSWORD will probably come out the earliest considering it was previously released by Geneon. Sora no Otoshimono will be released under the name Heaven's Lost Property.

I can't say for certain whether any of these new titles are worth checking out. Rosario + Vampire is a Gonzo show, so I'm instantly wary. Chaos: HEAd looks to be based off a porn game. Chrome Shelled Regios and Rideback look alright based on the picture; however, the same cannot be said of Sora no Otoshimono. I once read in Newtype that the creators of GUNxSWORD were trying to create the next Cowboy Bebop or Trigun. Based on the fact that I've never met anyone that's even heard of GUNxSWORD, I'm going to assume they failed.
