In our exciting new direction into the world of multimedia entertainment, Anime3000.com is proud to present our first 20 Questions segment. In this first installment, we had a conversation with Evan Minto, the editor-in-chief of anigamers.com. In addition to the twenty unrehearsed questions that give this segment its name, we also discuss why anigamers.com is such a happening place to visit. We decided to pick Evan because of his continued support of our website through his many A3K Panel appearances. If you are an Anime 3000 affiliate that would like to appear on a future segment of 20 Questions, send us an email. We are looking to produce new segments and launch new ideas. If you want to know what questions we asked, there is only one way to find out.

Bloody Kiss and the Vampire Trend!
Review by: Jd Banks
Created by: Kazuko Furumiya
Published by: Tokyopop

The first installment of Bloody Kiss is one manga fit for the Twihards and the Vampire Knight cosplayers who aren't tired of bloodsuckers and half-baked romances. It begs the question; do manga creators just decide that no matter how overdone a vampire story is, they should add to the fire simply to make sales?

It's no secret that the vampire mythos can sell. Among the uprising of TV shows and movies boasting vampire stories, anime and manga have followed the trend with the same aggression. Unfortunately, the focus on selling drowns out the opportunity for releases to acquire any sort of legacy.

Space Battleship Yamato: The Movie is an excellent sci-fi epic adventure that follows the great space cruiser, Yamato, as it engages on a long journey.

As soon as the movie started playing, I was reminded of Star Wars (1977). I originally got into anime because I was looking for good sci-fi and Space Battleship Yamato: The Movie delivered on all points.  It has engaging action with likable characters and plenty of gadgets, rockets, and spacecraft dogfights to please most sci-fi fans out there.  This movie is worth checking out before the live action Space Battleship comes out in Japan later this year.

Men Who Shove the M out of Manime
By Josh Dunham

For those of you who read my ‘Guys who Shove the M in Manime’, I’m sure I told you nothing that you didn’t already know. Yes we know that Kenshiro is manly, and yes Char is the best ‘villain’ in Gundam… ever! “We already knew that”, you say? Well, this time I’m going to pick some guys who are anything but manly.

Weekly Podcast Review:
The Silicon Chickens Project Podcast (Also available on iTunes). This unique, original story-based podcast is the brainchild of Paul Chapman (he of The Greatest Movie Ever Podcast fame). Paul has always struck me as an intelligent and introspective guy with tastes similar to my own and a vast knowledge of literature, film, and generally speaking, good stories. Chapman's original project, Silicon Chickens, is an ongoing series of podcasts featuring his original literary work. Chapman is also well-known podcaster and an occasional contributor to the anime magazine Otaku USA.
