Story:
“Peace is the number one priority,” according to Sakurai Tomoki, an average teenaged boy with a mediocre life. However, when a mysterious girl with wings falls into his life, Sakurai’s dull life gets a little complicated, in good and bad ways.
Impressions:
The first episode of Sora no Otoshimono starts off like any other normal anime, showing the uneventful life of Sakurai Tomoki. There are many hentai-esque moments, which make for some comedy, but it seems rather inappropriate next to the rare serious moments. Once the angel enters Sakurai’s life, you begin to wonder exactly which direction is the series going. The vibe of the anime quickly dashes from an average teenager with strange dreams to a fantasy-type show. It conjured up a marriage between CLAMP’s Chobits and yaoi-type Junjou Romantico. Even the angel looks like Sakura from the popular Tsubasa series with DD-size breasts.
The content is very light and simple, even with the angel in the picture. All Sakurai wants is what any other human desires: money, great food, and peeks up girls’ skirts. In the most outrageous moments, you can’t help but laugh or smirk at Sakurai’s crazy antics. The subservient angel, however, played off of males’ fantasies of a supermodel girlfriend granting any wish with the push of a mysterious remote. With such a woman in the anime, this anime crosses so many boundaries without ample notice, but it comes across in a comedic light.
Summary:
If you’re looking for a typical anime starring a horny teenager who acquires a compliant yet magical female slave, Sora no Otoshimono would top your charts.
