Kokuhaku (Confessions)
Perhaps it's appropriate to start off with a confession of my own: I have yet to see any other Tsuchiya Nakashima film besides his brilliant short film "Rolling Bomber Special" (If you haven't seen it, please do, it'll be some of the most fun seven minutes you'll spend outside of bed). Even so, I find some comfort in saying that Nakashima is a dyed-in-the-wool stylist. He is about playing and mixing colors, sounds and moods without much care for what the audience is expecting.
