The Crain's Business News Source announced that Central Park Media has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. They will effectively close there doors as of May 4, 2009. Various bloggers have voiced their opinions regarding this announcement. CPM is responsible for a number of popular 90s series and movies. Grave of the Fireflies, Slayers, Demon City Shinjuku, and Record of Lodoss War to name a few. They even released several manga that included Slayers and Comic Party. With their uncermonious closing, what impact will this have on the anime community?

Warner Brothers plan to adapt Death Note into a live action Hollywood film. With the recent flop of Dragon Ball: Evolution, are fans of the popular series doomed to see Light and L die from tinsel town obscurity? What expectations do you have for this 2010 film?

Notes: We mention Zach Efron, the Marvel Universe and eventually evolve the conversation to talk about the differences between Japanese and American audiences. This was probably the richest conversation had on the entire program.

Notes: This is a rehash of an old topic, but due to the overwhelming popularity of these shows, we are bringing them back. Everyone chimes in and gives us their unabashed take on K-ON! and Basquash. I used the opportunity to finally call out John-Paul on his fake disgust over K-ON! and Michael continues his praise (fanboy.com) over Basquash.
