Anime Diet You’re looking at Anime Diet, a lean, mean, mostly spam-free anime team blog. We do everything from the usual episode reviews and commentaries and editorials to a popular podcast Anime Diet Radio, individual audio columns, and in recent days, original fiction. We have significantly grown since our humble beginnings at the end of 2006 as Scattered Cels, and we have earned press passes to cons as large as Anime Expo 2008 and Comic Con International. Anime Diet Radio, our podcast, is doing a live panel at AX 2008 together with Anime Genesis, and we look forward to growing until founder Ikari “Mike” Gendo takes over the world on behalf of NERV.

AniGamers Ani-Gamers is an all-purpose anime and video game fansite. Officially opened to the world on May 29, 2004 as Anime Paradise, Ani-Gamers has grown to be a large, community-based anime and video game fansite. Staffed by a dedicated group of anime and game fans (we call them otaku), the site brings readers news, reviews, information, and media from the deeply intertwined worlds of anime and video games. Ani-Gamers even allows for users to post any type of article, from a review to a news story, directly onto Ani-Gamers, using our revolutionary Project uWrite. Through projects like uWrite and our forums, we always try to keep our staff on an equal ground with our fans. We treat our readers as writers who are just as important as our own staffed writers.

Insert Disc Insert-Disc is a website that covers a myriad of topics, mostly video games and video game culture. We have minor coverage of other mediums and fan culture, but it’s mostly video games. We also have a lot of sillier content, but that’s not all we do. We have serious business like reviews and in-depth looks at various issues relating to gaming and other things that also aren’t actually that serious.

Jamaipanese Jamaipanese.com is the personal blog of Kirk Brown, a young Jamaican male who has a great interest in Japan and its people for various reasons. I have never visited Japan but if things work out the way I want them to I am looking forward to visiting in early 2011. “Jamaipanese” is a candid combination of JAMAIcan and JaPANESE hence I call myself and my blog Jamai + Panese or Jamaipanese.

Moritheil Review The Moritheil Review began as an attempt to inject a little humor into the stress-filled drama that often occurs on Twitter and in the otaku blogosphere in general. If there’s anything that anime bloggers have in common, it’s the ability to take their opinions – and occasionally, themselves – very seriously. This is great when it leads to well-written reviews; it is perhaps not so great when it leads to dorama.

Nigorimasen! Blog From May 2006 until January 2, 2007, this blog was hosted on a Wordpress.com subdomain and was called “Part-Time Otaku” – it’s still up if you want to check it out. Another move took place on August 20, 2008, when the blog’s URL changed from anime.crumplednapkin.net to nigorimasen.com. The current name (”Don’t misread it!”) comes from one of the characters in Zettai Shonen, Sukawara Akira (須河原晶), a public access news reporter who uses the phrase (濁りません) within her on-air introductions because the kanji in her family name can be misread as Sugawara.
