Heads UP! – August 2010 Welcome back to a slightly belated issue of Heads UP! Each month we bring you a list of events you can expect to see both on our site and in the world-wide blogosphere. Some of these events includes news about a Dir en Grey American tour, Crayon Shin-chan’s return, Dirty Pair and Fullmetal Alchemist.

Out of the Ashes – Thursday the 5th
Due the tragic death of its creator, Yoshito Usui, Crayon Shin-chan’s final volume will ship in Japan the first week in August. However, a new manga titled Shin Crayon Shin-can will launch the same day in Monthly Manga Town. The manga is being written by Usui’s assistants at UY Studio who had worked previously on the first Shin-can.

AMR – Tuesday the 10th
CJ Hitchcock brings us an amazing video based on the old Disney Sing a long videos. Instead of the Jungle Book and the Aristrocats, we look at the top-ten anime themes. This is a really entertaining video that I will guarantee you will enjoy.

Bonus Round – Thursday the 12th
Another weekly installment of the Bonus Round will be released. This time, the show will be dedicated to the lovely angels of Dirty Pair. Sean Russell has another conversation with Mike Dent and debuts the pilot episode of his Dirty Pair Audio Book. Subscribe Now!

Battle of the Koma! – Friday the 13th
Since my partner in crime has gone off to Otakon, it seems that this month’s installment will be slightly delayed.

Speakeasy Podcast – Tuesday 17th
The topic hasn’t been revealed, but you can expect another installment of the Speakeasy Podcast on this date.

Bonus Round – Thursday the 19th
In this episode of the Bonus Round, Sean has a conversation with Vic Mignogna, the American voice of Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist while Bradley Meek leads a FMA discussion along with Zack Lowe and Michael Fitz-Gibbon. Subscribe Now!

Tenjho Tenge Meets its Demise– Thursday 19th
Ultra Jump will run mangaka Ogure-Ito’s final chapter in the upcoming September issue. Of course, since CMX has already bitten the dust, don’t hold your breath waiting for the rest of the series.

New Tatsunoko on the Big Screen – Sunday the 22nd
Good old’ Yatterman opens its newest film incarnation in Japanese theaters today. According to the film’s website, the movie will bring new mechs for our heroes to use.

We Will Rock You! – Monday the 23rd
For those of you who’ve seen the kick ass show Baki the Grappler and liked the opening theme, you’ll be happy to know that those guys are doing a North American tour. Dir en Grey will hit Toronto, New York, and Las Vegas before their tour ends on September 11th. Tickets went on sale July 23rd, so if you haven’t already, go by them now!

Anime 3000 Panel  – Tuesday 24h
The long-awaited A3K Panel returns to the A3K Network. In order to distinguish this show from the Bonus Round, Sean Russell is making it bigger and better. So that’s why it’s two months in the making. Expect something mind blowing ladies and gentlemen.

Bonus Round – Thursday the 27th
We will have a Dragon Ball themed show. This could change depending on opportunities that come up throughout the month.  Subscribe Now!

The Panic Finishes – Date Unknown
The last volume in the popular novel series Full Metal Panic! has been slated for release sometime this month. As for an actual day, the information is yet to be revealed. Here’s hoping someone releases them state-side before I grow old and die.
