Anime 3000 Blogs
Fierce Anime

One of the fiercest anime that I ever watched is Hunter x Hunter.... Look at that picture! Awesome, isn't it? Oh here's more
Hello All
Well today I was introduce to the site thanks to my friend LaMar Holley after some rounds of playing some Street Fighter 3: Third Strike and so far I have to say it pretty good. Not much to say about my self other than I'm a big music, video game, and anime/manga lover. Nowadays I tend to read manga and listen to music then watching anime, for it something about manga seems more pure in my opinion. Anyways I digress and I hope to be come a contributing member to the community. >:3
Female Otaku = Ugly Ducklings?
Whenever I speak to my male friends, they are always surprised when they learn I'm an anime fan with manga cluttering up my Asian-style bedroom. I've become more reluctant to admit my mild side interests because I get the most peculiar reaction.
"But...you're hot." Really? Really?
After this consistent response, I asked myself, "Are all female otaku pegged as ugly ducklings?" If not, then why the remarks, huh, men? (Sorry, guys, not trying to be vindictive, but really?)
Geekfon.com
If you haven't heard by now, I started a brand new blog. On the exterior, this might look like a bad idea. With the amount of things on my plate, how can I find time to do one more thing? Well, I look it like this. I need to stay creative and motivated to write. As it is, I feel like I'm locked into a box just talking about anime. While I'm a fan of anime and manga, it's not my biggest passion.
My passions include, American comics, sci-fi and action films, music, rapping and performing, anime and manga, video games, professional wrestling, reality programming, writing and running businesses.
The reason I created this blog was to express my point of view on these various subjects. No filter, just me. So check it out and see what's really on my mind. If I find that this is cutting into my ability to run anime3000.com, I will give it a break. That's also the best part of the blog. I can stop at anytime.
Living Vicariously: CLAMP
I've followed CLAMP since I was first introduced to anime. I watched Magic Knight Rayearth in Spanish and read it when Tokyopop magazine was still around. Their artwork was distinguishable, and I found myself picking up titles because I knew it was CLAMP.
Although I have a solid background in understanding CLAMP's stories, I have to be general. CLAMP is made up of four women, and sometimes, they shift in who does what. Overall, CLAMP's works involve romance, and most of the romances are atypical. In Magic Knight Rayearth, the Pillar of the world fell in love with a high priest, which was forbidden. In Chobits, nice-guy Hideki falls in love with a cute android he found in a trash heap. Even in smaller works, like Clover, Wish, and Legal Drug, love is the perpetual theme holding the story together. These atypical relationships of love are what make CLAMP's works so appealing.
So what do I think of CLAMP in terms of their personal lives? I would say that CLAMP (this is approaching all of CLAMP as a single person) wants to make atypical relationships of love known. It's not that they want them to succeed--if you've watched Magic Knight Rayearth, there are some very sad outcomes--but it's more of the journey than the actual end. In some cases, the end or death is succeeding in love, almost like hara kiri (suicide) in the name of love.
Animeshon - Season 2 Episode 1
Ya, as the title says, I can't remember what ep this is. And even though I could look it up (hell, this is my blog), I'm just going to start a news season. So here you go, new podcasting. With me are my fellow 3JP members, Brie-chan, and SpiralXWarrior. Also, Doctor from the SSAA podcast is also a guest star in this awesome episode. So with all these awesome people compansating for a bad host, this is going to be the best episode ever...if I didn't have mic issues.
Living Vicariously: Matsuri Hino
I have a collection of manga in my room (you can see it once you enter my room). Sometimes in collecting manga, I don't shop for manga-ka or titles specifically. If a title interests me, I grab it, read the synopsis and, if it's interesting, I tack it on to my manga purchases for the day. I came across Matsuri Hino's work in this manner.
So far, I have Meru Puri (4 volumes) and the first volume of Captive Hearts. I've also watched the entire series of Vampire Knight. From those works, Hino has proven to be a worthwhile gem in a sea of counterfeit pearls. On the surface, Hino's stuff seem cliche, but once you jump into a manga or anime, there's a little more depth to it all, especially in the characters.
I think I've pinned down who Matsuri Hino wishes she was (if she isn't) in her works. All of her stories evolve around a single somewhat clueless girl who everyone likes or admires. There's always something odd about the love interest. In Meru Puri, the girl's love interest was a couple years younger than her who matured into a teenager whenever he was plunged into darkness. In Vampire Knight, the girl's love interest was actually her vampire brother. In Captive Hearts, the love interest was her cursed man-servant.

cat or rat?
Would you love a cat or a rat? Well, the anime Fruits Basket is about a family that turns into an animal in the zodiac: Interesting huh?! Interesting enough for me to write couple of custom essays about the topic.
Yuki, the campus-crush. All girls are mesmerized by his angelic face and his intelligence as well. He likes Tohru and almost always fights with Kyo. He turns rat if a girl hugs him.
Attending my first convention.
Hey everyone,
I can't believe its already November! soon the snow will be flying and it will be bitterly cold. Last weekend I traveled to Madison Wisconsin for the convention known as "Geek Kon" this was the third year it has been going on.
Unlike past years though Geek Kon was being held in a hotel, previously it had been held at the university of Madison. Now like the title states this was my first ever convention so to anyone reading this my point of view may be skewed. I'd love to get anyone's feed back though as some of the points I'll mention I want to know if its universal or the con's planning.
